Sunday 13/6/21

Some uncertainty on Sunday next week due to a area of higher pressure which looks set to build across Ireland and the UK on Saturday. An area of low pressure is been signaled to pass well to the northwest of Ireland and Scotland passing over southern Iceland on this morning ECMWF model run and if the higher pressure gets nudged to the east towards mainland Europe this may allow a band of rain from the outer edge of that low pressure system to clip Ireland. The weather models have been swapping and changing and at this rain noting is certain yet and models may revert back to building that high pressure system a little more westwards out to the west of Ireland which would take the idea of the low pressure systems band of rain clipping Ireland. I will update on that in the National forecast over the week.

below the chart shows that area of low pressure over Iceland with its outer band of rain clipping Ireland. If this was the outcome it would move through rather quickly
