Parts of Ireland are set to see some snowfall on Thursday with Munster, Leinster and Connacht most at risk with snow set to fall in some areas until Friday morning but across the northwest, north and east the forecasting models are now in good agreement that another frontal system will move in from the west on Friday night and turning to sleet and snow as it move into the northwestern, northern and eastern counites with some areas possibly seen some significant falls. The Met office in the UK already have a early warning out for Northern Ireland with Met Eireann most likely to follow them based on the latest outputs from forecast models

A Atlantic frontal system moving into the southwest of Ireland on Thursday morning will turn from rain to sleet and snow as it moves northwards up over Munster, Connacht and Leinster. Some accumulations will occur on lower level areas of between 0cm to 5cm.

Some higher ground areas across the south , west and east seen between 5cm to 10cm especially over the mountains. Not all areas may see lying snow with snow turning back to rain in southern coastal counties during Thursday afternoon.

Another Atlantic frontal system will move in across Ireland on Friday night and Saturday morning with colder air sitting across the northwest, north and east this rain will turn to sleet and snow as it hit the colder air and freezing temperatures giving snow accumulations of 0cm to 5cm epically across Ulster
