Risk of Black ice on roads Friday morning with temperatures below freezing

With some light rain in places today and clear weather developing from the north over the evening temperatures will drop below 0C overnight and Friday morning.

Across the North, East and West it will be coldest with a frost developing and icy patches on roads.

Councils will be sending gritters out overnight in some counties but Donegal routes Donegal County Council have confirmed will not be gritted until 6am Friday morning

Turning cold overnight with clear weather developing with frost and icy conditions developing across Eastern, Northern and some western parts with temperatures between -3C to 0C. Across the south of Ireland it will be a little warmer with cloud with temperatures between 2C to 4C.
