Rain possibly turning to sleet and snow
On Saturday night a spells of heavy rain will move into the south of Ireland extending northwards on Saturday night and Sunday morning. The current indication is that colder airmass will sit over the northern half of Ireland and when this band of rain pushes northwards on Saturday night and Sunday morning it will turn to sleet and snow.

The main snowfall risk will be over higher ground but some low ground areas could also be at risk going by the latest model runs.

There is a little uncertainty yet but the current outlook suggests some sleet and snow in place on Sunday morning as the front spreads over parts of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster.

I will have another update on this again before the end of the week. You can keep up to date with the latest forecast on our national forecast outlook

full moon over rising over Albufeira, Portugal
from €30.00

I was in Albufeira Portugal I was waiting for the full moon to come up and it did not let me down.

The orange and red tints that the Moon sometimes take on rising and setting are caused by the particles in the Earth's atmosphere. When light (or more specifically, packets of light called photons) from an astronomical object passes through the Earth's atmosphere, it scatters off of particles in the latter.
