N15 Road between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town closed due to fatal collision, Diversion Road via Rossnowlagh also closed
The main N15 Ballyshannon to Donegal Town road is closed this Wednesday morning following a Fatal road traffic collision which occurred before midnight Tuesday.
The road traffic incident happened close to Mc Cafferys Quarry
Diversions were in place via Rossnowlagh to the Ballintra cross roads but this road is also now blocked by a lorry leaving roads in South Donegal gridlocked.
The Main N15 road between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town is expected to be closed until Wednesday afternoon.
Gardaí currently are dealing with the other incident on the Rossnowlagh Road.
A garda spokesperson said this morning: "Gardaí are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on the N15 in Laheen, Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal at approximately 11.30pm on 10th March 2020.
"A 28 year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision between two cars.
"The female driver of the other car, aged 60, was taken to Sligo General Hospital with serious injuries.
GARDAI APPEAL
"Three other passengers were also taken to Hospital but only as a precautionary measure.

I was in Albufeira Portugal I was waiting for the full moon to come up and it did not let me down.
The orange and red tints that the Moon sometimes take on rising and setting are caused by the particles in the Earth's atmosphere. When light (or more specifically, packets of light called photons) from an astronomical object passes through the Earth's atmosphere, it scatters off of particles in the latter.
What a unbelievable night and morning out storm chasing, These number of thunderstorms had to be the best in years as most of the lightning was CG bolts. I even manage to captures Two to three CG bolts in one shot.
