A ridge of high pressure looks set to build across Ireland at the end the this week and over the weekend bring settled weather across Ireland for a number of days.

Some showers will be possible Thursday and early Friday but for many it will remain dry with little or no trace of rainfall.

Over the weekend the ridge of high pressure to the northwest of Ireland builds and drifts eastwards across the country to give a fine weekend with dry weather for most of Ireland with the latest indication showing the center of the high located across the northern half of Ireland over the weekend which in turn may allow some light rain or drizzle for a time on Saturday night and Sunday morning across south and southeastern coastal counties

The best of the sunshine this weekend will be across western and northern areas but overall many areas will see sunny spells at time with a good deal of dry weather apart from possibly southern and southeastern coastal counties.

Temperatures over the week will be in the high teens to low 20s but over the weekend it will become that bit cooler with temperatures dropping back to the mid to high teens.

For Farmers this will be a good opportunity to get one final cut done before the weather turns to unsettled and cooler with many farmers out there at the moment look for settled and drier weather.

The latest forecast outlook shows the risk of some light rain showers or drizzle for a time on Friday morning moving into the west, northwest and north but becoming drier later in the afternoon and evening. Saturday to Monday will give prime conditions for silage for much of Ireland apart from some parts of the southeast and south which may see some light drizzle Saturday night into Sunday morning but i will update this outlook in the National forecast outlook on our app and website which can be see below by clicking the button link.
