Rainfall passing over Ireland on Tuesday with sunny spells following behind.

A spell of rain will move into northwestern and western areas just before midday Tuesday with the weather front crossing Ireland over the afternoon.

Over the later afternoon and evening hours to the west of the weather front there will be nice dry and sunny spells following behind.

A ridge of high pressure then builds for Wednesday and Thursday with across Ireland with mostly dry and nice sunny spells around.

Another band of rain will edge into Western and South Western areas after midday Friday and spread to all areas over Friday afternoon and clear to the east over night. Rain will be heaviest over the south and west and patchy elsewhere.

Saturday looks set to be another dry day with bright spells but good amounts of cloud around at present.

A present Sunday another spell of rain looks set to cross the country over the afternoon.

Outlook for next week is mostly dry weather with temperatures in high teens to low 20s. I will have a full update over the coming hours on that.
