Three games have been postponed in Division 1 of the Allianz Hurling League with heavy rainfall across the country disrupting the league schedule.

The GAA confirmed around 1pm that the 1A meeting of Cork and Tipperary in Páirc Ui Rinn and the 1B clash between Waterford and Galway in Walsh Park have been postponed due to unplayable pitches.

Both passed early morning pitch inspections but heavy rainfall in the hours since have rendered both surfaces unplayable.

It wad followed with the news that Wexford and Kilkenny had also been postponed.

Referee Alan Kelly had indicated that the game would go ahead but cautioned that continued rainfall might place the fixture in jeopardy.

After a brief pitch inspection, Kelly decided that the game could not proceed.

However, the Dublin-Laois meeting in Parnell Park, which had been under threat, will go ahead after a pitch inspection by referee Liam Gordon.

full moon over rising over Albufeira, Portugal
from €30.00

I was in Albufeira Portugal I was waiting for the full moon to come up and it did not let me down.

The orange and red tints that the Moon sometimes take on rising and setting are caused by the particles in the Earth's atmosphere. When light (or more specifically, packets of light called photons) from an astronomical object passes through the Earth's atmosphere, it scatters off of particles in the latter.
