Starus Orange and Yellow wind warnings are currently in places as storm Elin passes over the country today. Status Yellow rainfall warnings are currently in places for much of Ulster with flooding possible.

ULSTER

DONEGAL

Heavy rainfall is effecting Donegal this afternoon with flooding in parts especially across Inishowen with flooding reported in Malin Head and Ballyliffin.

A status orange wind warning is also in place and combined with rainfall this will make travel conditions very poor.

Please avoid coastal areas as there will be a high risk of waves overtopping.

Derry

Very heavy rainfall also effecting parts of Derry this afternoon with some flooding also reported. Take care around the county.

CONNACHT

Some heavy rainfall and strong winds are currently effecting parts of Connacht this afternoon with the strongest of the winds in the north and west of the provenance.

Sligo, Leitrim & Mayo

Difficult driving conditions will be possible at times especially across Mayo, Sligo & Leitrim this afternoon. Some waves over topping around coastal areas will also be possible.

LEINSTER

Some strong winds across Leinster this afternoon and evening especially across east Leinster.

DUBLIN & WICKLOW

Dublin and Wicklow there currently is an orange wind warnings in place for potential severe and damaging gusts.

MUNSTER

The worst of storm Elin will pass north of Munster today with only some blustery winds and a few showers but overall plenty of dry weather also.
